Gs1000g, take two.

Only you can answer that. I messed up my back when I was 18 working at Disney. I lifted a big CO2 tank wrong and has been an on and off issue the rest of my life. I still have my TENS unit, but haven't used that in decades. I found out Ibuprofen works just as well. I recently have been receiving joint pains. First Bursitis in my left elbow and later this morning I'm going to get my left knee x-rayed. The last few week it been sore and feeling like it's going to blow out. It may also be Bursitis but I had a physical last week and my doc said she didn't feel anything, but wanted me to get an x-ray if it gets worse, well........

Try a few Ibuprofen to see how it works relieving you back pain. You may have to try different things, like Tylenol or Alieve to see what works for you. Tylenol is my go to for headaches and Alieve doesn't do anything for me, but we are all different. What works for me may not be what works best for you. I don't like taking anything, but sometimes we all need a little help to get you though the day.

Brandon, looky what I just did....an 18" aluminum rim on my shaft drive hub....the GS1000G is going to wire spoked wheels!20181108_133009.jpg

...and I will most likely carch crap for this one, but those rims are off a 78 GS1000E....oem aluminum rims as I've found out.
...750s got steel rims...?!

This almost made me work on my bike this past weekend. Been so busy with the other project, and the baby prep. Fear not, im a horder so the bike wont get sold off.

I keep building it, and rebuilding it in my head..
I have the vision for it like a normal person vision, not half cafe. Just need to proceed with the work

A change in direction.... sorta

The bike is basically held together with zipties right now because it was/is stripped. So, i like the fairing now. Always hated vetters, but there was a kz1300 posted on butchered classics Facebook, with a similar style oe fairing lowered slightly with a shortened windscreen, and it got me going on this idea pretty bad. Its about 4 inches lower than normal, i plan to go a tad lower in the rear. Maybe front and rear i dont know yet. I picked up a set of 1100gk triples (41mm) and will be doing the katana fork swap again, with the kat front wheel and vx800 rear wheel. Now theres a kat in my garage right now and top of the tire measures roughly 3.250 in shorter than the top of the fender on the gs set up (ground to top). So that gives me room to lower the fairing a bit more. Notice the clipons are gone and superbike bars are installed. I'm also considering some used gsxr rearsets mounted just north of the factory position. We'll see. Lifes good.

The Vetter has an adjustment, but not that much and adjustment. I remember when I first put the Vetter on SuzyII, I had thought of modifyinf it to a duel headlight similar to what some of the late model H-D's has. I had thought about grafting and eye lid over a set of sideways mounted 58 Chevy Apache truck or Impala headlights as both are symmetrical. Then I got the Pacifico faring and had thoughts of the same thing, but still haven't done it.

I was looking at it some more tonight, ill definantly need to lower the rear down to get the head light where it needs to be.
i love dual headlights, someone posted a gs with a modified early gsxr fairing (just the top section) it looked at home. And of course the dual headlights looked killer.

i love the focus, its a 2014 ST3. So far its been super dependable!

3 bikes for the most part, i have pictures of 2, the third will take some time to find. I think it was 3rd party by photobucket and i can never find it now.

Ill try to get them posted at lunch

Also, one of the pics you had posted in the original for sale add keeps me from going too cafe or resto mod. I dont have the pic, but i remember it well

Mine is a 2014 also.
I was at a track night with my bike, and the next day there was gonna be car racing, so many people were setting up camp for that. One guy had a stock 2012 Focus on a trailer he was gonna race. Also saw a 1st generation Focus race car too, I had a 2000 that I drove 230,000 miles.
Always wondered if they were good race cars.

They're born racers! The first gen focus dominated ralley racing in Europe for years, the second and third are also top notch racers. Shame we dont get the 4th gen. I'd like to get a first gen zx3 and EcoBoost swap it. Wouldn't be very difficult since the EcoBoost is the new generation of the duratec. And ford sales standalone control packs.

Brandon, post a pic of what's inspiring you.

I found all the pictures, well minus the one from your add.

Theres one more of the kz1300, its loading on to my Flickr account now.

I really have to thank you and Dave. You definitely sold me a super solid bike, and i bought a bunch of good parts from dave over the weekend.

If you still have the pic of the bike that you had in the add, it was straight on to the side and the bike was facing right. I think it had the darker maroon fairing on it, and iirc white letter tires. I love that look. So basically that with a little more sport added to it.
