GS1000S clock adjustment

Hi Guys and thank you for letting me join up - Appreciated.

I have a full and complete GS1000S instrument binnacle in for a set of my new 5-piece gauge faces to fit.
Can someone please tell me how the analogue clock is adjusted?
I've tried gently pushing and turning the spindle and also pull and turning the spindle, but the fingers remain static and I'm just wondering if this gauge is faulty?

Will, pull on the knob and turn, it should pull out about 1/8" (3 mm) and turn.

Welcome to the site and could you tell us about yourself, and a few pictures of the bike.

Could post the VIN & Engine Number of your bike for the GS1000S Registry which I currently maintain.

Yes, it's a pull 'n twist action. Have same issue with my adjuster, too... but have better luck turning clock arms backward. Assume the gears involved are plastic and easily knackered over time. Always wondered if there's a fix.

Thanks David, it seems to have been stuck for some time but has now pulled out enough to allow change of hands etc.
Like I said, it's a customers bike who has only sent me the gauges to freshen up.
I've done the oil temp, fuel gauge and clock, now for the speedo and tacho faces.



After I have finished all 5 gauge faces, fitted them and built the binnacle back up, I will post some pictures of the completed installation.
As a way of thanking you for allowing me to join your forum, I shall be able to offer you these 5-piece kits at a discounted price.

Hey Will, we'd be really interested if you could make the whole bianncle, there was a thread on here a few weeks back regarding making a replica binnacle, do you know anyone who could do that?

Well the gauge faces are well under way now, having completed the 260 km/h version, which I think has the oil temperature in farenhite ???
I've tried to research to the best of my ability, UK spec MPH version, and it seems to be a bit odd that all UK spec speedo's I see only have a MAX of 140 MPH, whereas the Euro spec KM/H MAX goes up to 260 KM/H, which equates to nearer 160 MPH. Also..... I've noticed that the only MPH gauges I find only have a MAX of 11K on the tacho, whereas the Euro spec have a MAX of 12K.
Can anyone shed any light on the differences between model years, country origin spec and the like.
