A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Welcome aboard BassCliff will be along soon.

We talking GS1100E or G here?

Assuming E then I don't remember anyone doing a trial fit of an SS2-R but I have measured up several 1st and 2nd Gen GSXR pipes to my ED.

I think the SS2-R is only avaliable for the 2nd Gen right? If it is it might hang a little low as the 2nd Gen's seem to be a little longer.

You will have to fab something for the rear hanger and probably mid pipe.

Are you a welder or fabricator?

That would be 1100E model. And yes I believe it is second gen 1989 to 1996. Fabing a hanger shouldn't be a problem. I have other options such as found new set of MAC 4-2-1 on craigslist but cant find any info on performance of the 4-2-1 style but plenty on 4-1. Are the MAC headers decent? Or do U know if V&H 4-1 can be used with mid pipe and slip on? Thanks for your quick reply

I never heard of a MAC 4:2:1. Got a pic?

I never had a V&H SS2-R but have mounted the following to my ED for a fit check. The Yoshi is mounted on my ED and actually fits the tightest (to belly) of the three 4:2:1's. There is a definite mid range boost. The mid pipes pretty much need modification to fit in all cases. Some 2nd Gens will hit the frame cross over just below the exhaust posts.

4:1 Muzzy 1st Gen GSXR 1100
4:2:1 D&D 1st Gen GSXR 1100
4:2:1 Yoshi 2nd Gen GSXR 1100
4:2:1 Micron 2nd Gen GSXR 1100

A 2nd Gen GSXR 750 might fit but the down tubes are likely pretty small.

If you have a decent 4:2:1 modify it to fit your bike.

4:1 is all I could find..........

They look like they will fit. What are they off of? GSXR?

I have pretty much converted over to 4:2:1 as I like the mid range and have not noticed a hindrance in the top end.

Hey sorry didn't get back to u. The MAC 4-2-1 were made for the GS11000E and were intended to fit the original the GS1150ESE or GS1100ESE however they were marketing the motorcycle i.e Japan or US. ut I am going to pick them up and giv'em a try. Geting them for $300 shipped from east coast to west. Like I said Guy said he picked them up years ago and bought several from MAC as a discontinued model (think they called them 3Y pipe. Anyway, u still haven't given me your input of the MAC haeders and quality or or any other input. Thanks again Dave
