Gs1100, what is a G3 cam?

When I bought my 81gs750, with 82gs1100 engine, 1166 kit,I was told it had G3 cams.
I can't find any info on the search Google?
What do I have?
Is their another part number I can Research?
What is the power Band?
Redline?
Lash Spec?
Is this a good street cam?

How the cams are degrees can have significant impact. Sounds like you might have your closer to 110/110?

That grind is similar to Web 70-112, description is

[FONT=&quot]Strong mid and upper end performance for street / strip. Must remove oil bump from rocker. Requires Exhaust System, Hardwelded Rockers, High Compression Piston, and Performance Valve Spring Kit.[/FONT]​

The G3 grind is an old cam motion Grind, fast road.We stock them , now made for us by web. lash: .005" , lift 0.345" ,duration @ 0.050 254 deg , lobe centres 110 deg same for in and ex. intake open 17 deg btdc , closes 57 deg abdc, ex closes 57 deg abdc , closes 17 deg atdc. hope this helps. nick

Other way, you want narrower lobe centers for more midrange. With those cams you would probably want to try 108/108 and see how you like it before going any farther. I am running 106I/108E on my 1100E with stock cams and it adds significant midrange over the stock lobe centers, which are fairly goofy at 110I/109E.

Nick, you are a little off on the open & close #s. They are 20/60 on the intake & 60/20 on the exhaust. If you are putting these in a STREET bike, I would change the cam timing to 105 intake & 107 exhaust to build better bottom end & STOUT midrange. On a drag motor those are small cams but I would go 109/111.

Those are at .050 & straight off the Cam Motion spec sheet I have, since he asked for G3 specs, not the Web remake. .345 lift & 256 duration @ .050. I ALWAYS use .050 but I know some use .040, never did get that reasoning though.

I build classic v8 car engines, to improve mid and low u advance the cam,to improve top u retard cam, so how is it possible to retard the cam for more mid-bottom?
