    DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Do somebody know where I can find the cam events for GS1100e and GS1150e bikes?
for example in a Harley Cam;
intake valve open 18?BTDC, close 40?ABDC;
Exhaust valve open 42?BBDC, close 17? ATDC

The info is in the factory service manual, which you can download for free from basscliff's web site.

Ed;
Please help find out the information, I did not found it on the service manual.

You can download the factory 1100 manual here...http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/

Info is in the Engine section.

Unfortunately, Cliff doesn't have an 1150 manual that I could see. Not sure where you can get that info other than maybe searching the archives here or waiting for someone with a factory manual to chime in.

Here is the info from the 1100 manual: (page 73 of Basscliff's pdf file)

.

GS1150 cam specs. Intake opens 34 degrees BTDC, closes 66 degrees ABDC. Exhaust opens 60 degrees BBDC, closes 32 degrees ATDC. Taken from the factory manual. The 1150 cams have more lift, I believe 1mm than the 1100.

Ooopsss; this timing chart is for GS1100G not for GS1100E. GS1100G is 8 valves rather than 16 valves like GS1100E 81-83.

I found it, thanks any way.

Inlet opens @30? BTDC, closes @ 70?ABDC
Exhaust opens @ 63? BBDC, closes @ 25? ATDC

Thanks always for your advice.

Which is the cam journal O.D. of GS1150 cams?
Does any body installed GS1150 intake cam + GS1100 exhaust cam?
How it works? How it feels? Its noticeable the increase in power?

Anyone done this? Sounds interesting.

How does the 1100 head respond to the usual bowl and throat cleanup/porting?

Headwork is fertile ground for HP

I just put a set of stock GS1100EZ cams into a stock GS750EX (same exhaust but more lift on intake). I had to increase the main jet size from 112.5 to 116 (approx) and it provided a noticeable wakeup above 3K RPM.
