I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Returning Visitors
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I think that would look good. I personally like it without the back pad in the third pic. I like #2.

I was thinking about the same thing, but for some reason it looks like too much. (purple in this case)
If I was going to build something like this, I thought it would be cool if it flipped up into a backrest like Corbin does with some of their new stuff.
my wife has such whimpy arms, that she can barely hold on when I get on the gas.
If you've seen a Moto Guzzi V-11 with the simple little rear seat cover, you know what I'm trying to achieve.
I should have used a picture of the bike from a little further back so I could see how it looks with the overall lines of the bike.
Photoshop is so cool for this kind of stuff. I wish I was better at it.
I guess its all for nothing. I dropped off my seat at an old friend's house last night. turns out her husband does MC seats on the side. it's kind of a gamble, but I'm hoping it turns out killer.

Didn't Buell have one yjay did that?
i know BMW has one that does.
maybe pillage one or take field trip to a a dealer and get some more ideas.
I have a "superbike" seat for my 1000S that is dished out for the driver and the passenger section has a bum stop built in.
works nice, just not much padding in it.

Nice job kevin! I personally think the black seat with your black bodywork will look awesome and "flowing" from front to rear. If you put a seat cowl, i think you won't really see it (the seat cowl being black as well). Strictly JUST my opinion

I am thinking about doing something similar...I am going to basically eliminate the passenger section of the seat and move the stock rear section up in its place. It would bob a several inches off the rear and I think it would really clean up th e rear.
I would also like to put a wider rear tire out back but I don't know how big I can get away with. I have seen some pretty wide ones in the gallery section of this sight but I what has to be changed to make a tire like a 150 or even a 180 fit???

Fitting a 150-180 onto your bike is entirely dependent on what kind of bike you have and how determined you are.
I have a 180 on the bike now. I used a 1990 GSXR1100 swingarm and wheel (5.5x17) you have to off set the counter sprocket so the chain clears the tire, and move the rear brake mounting.
You can check out my whole job by clicking on the WWW tab in my sig.
There's a ton of other swingarms that you can do this with, Bandits are a good doner bikes. I think you can even jam a 4.5x17 wheel with a 160 rear in the stock swingarm.
I found it easiest to find someone that has done the exact mod you want to do, then pummel them with questions
Parts are abundant on Ebay and from guys here on the GSR.
