I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I didn't yet snap any pics but I have two fenders. The paint etc is the same but one is visibly wider & the way it is built (the support underneath) is different. Any one seen that before & can tell me which was the original? They both have minor damage so I guess it doesn't matter which I use, I'd just prefer to use the right one... :)

The 1100G front wheel was wider (and the tire wider) than that of the 850G (and most other GS's.) I suspect the wider fender is the right part.

Yeah that was my guess too. The narrower fender looks more like the older bikes construction underneath. :)

1100GK fender is about 3/4 inch wider than 1100G.

Paint and stripes are same, so could look the same in ebay picture, just to pick some random example . . . . or maybe the specifics of my experience.

Aha that sounds about right in difference... so you're saying I may have the original 1100G plus a GK fender? :)

I'll have to get them down & measure them. I did take one of them off the bike, I'll see if I have pictures to work out which one. Aren't the GK forks 41mm and wider between the fork legs?

Yah
suggesting thanmaybe the wider one is from a GK (if you don?t know where it came from).

yes GK has larger diameter forks and they are further apart, and the fender is then wider also .

I have an 1100E fender on my 850 - same spacing and width, so obviously not a GK.
Reason I picked it is I like the look of it and there's a bloody great brace under it, which means I don't need to fit any additional bracing.

Yeah I would expect the 850 to match the 1100 as it also matches the 1000E and 1000G (I've run an 1100E fender on my skunk for a while now - ever since I buggered up the paint job on the cut down stock one!)

:)
