DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Read in the archives that the 1150 carbs will fit an 1100E but trying to find out if the same carb boots can be used?

Just found a post in the archives stating that the carb boots are the same ID so that means the carbs will interchange between the two bikes.

Yes, they fit right on. I've been running 1150 carbs on my 1100 for years. I used a Dynojet kit and pods and it runs great. Made a huge difference in performance.

Read in the archives that the boots are a tight fit. Think this comment related to the airbox boots but not positive. Found one older thread where there was some disagreement about whether the 36's were a direct bolt on into the 1100E. Some guys said yes and others said you have to force the boots on. If anyone has direct experience with this please chime in.

I just (2 years ago....) got new boots, for the 1100, my 36's slid right in with no problems at all.

The 1150 carb boots are ~2mm larger ID than the 1100 ones. I just bought some a couple months ago and measured them. They don't come in left and right anymore, you just turn 2 upside down. I am using pods on this bike so can't verify if the airbox boots are the same.

BTW the carbs will fit the 1100 boots, but will be restricted.

oops, sorry, no, I am on pods. I misunderstood the question. As to the varying responses, I can't comment other than to say I had no troubles in fitting the carbs. I haven't had 1150 boots to compare.
Are you using the stock 1100 airbox?

I posted a thread awhile back, noting that I bought some 1150 boots which were 10mm shorter than the 1100's.
No sure what that changes if anything in normal street riding or if now they're superseded and the same.
