    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

NO! Smaller dia. tubes, shorter, too light a spring rate and damping not right for the extra weight. However it could be physically acomplished by mounting the entire tripple tree with custom size bearrings if the steering stem is long enough. I wouldn't recommend it though without custom springs and probably heavier fork oil. It could also change the rake and trail enough to make it unstable, requireing you to rework the rear suspension to compensate. Thease tubes would also flex more under hard riding and who knows what that could result in. I wouldn't do it.:-k

cool thanks for letting me know. how about 1986 Suzuki GS 850? Because im getting a 79 gs1000 with a stupied katana front end and I want the stock on back on

That "stupied Katana" front end is probably better handling and ride quality wise than the original. What's so stupid? about it???:confused:
 
You are also going to get drum brakes with a GS300L front end.
 
well looking to match the rear rim. ideas? rear is a mag rim.. just trying to match rims

Almost any other similar vintage GS except the GS300L will have one or two discs up front (much better) .. and most will have thicker diameter tubes which will be more sure footed under loads.

Post up a pic of your rear and maybe someone on the board will have some spare parts you could own.

nice thats all I needed to know..... just I just need the wheel and it bolts right up. Thanks man I will post pics tomorrow. what years will i be looking for?
