    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I bought this bike for a hundred bucks. I've cleaned the seized carbs and cleaned up the rusty gas tank. I'm ready to put it all back together, but I don't remember where the 3 hoses on the carb go. I think the big one in the middle is fuel, but I have no clue where it all goes. Can someone help me out, post some pics of yours or something?

There are two ports on the pet cock, and 3 on my carbs, one in the middle and two off to the side.

I was stupid and didn't label things like I should have. I'm very new to motorcycles but have a lot of experience with cars.

Thanks for the info, so this still doesnt answer my question. I ASSUME the main "T" for fuel line goes to "MAIN" on the gas tank? One of the vent tubes goes to the petcock for something, and the other vent hose just flops around on nothing? I dont understand. While I thank you for the guides, theise go over how to clean the carbs. The only thing I am interested in, is hose line location.

I have two carbs for this bike. There is the one T in the middle connecting the two just above the float bowl, and there there are two more hoses that feed UP and towards the middle. However, Im not sure where the hoses connect. Two to the gas tank and one connected to nothing? Could you possible help me with just a tad more information. Ive been hunting and pecking for info all over youtube, here and other places. Perhaps Im just to dumb to figure it out.
 
I don't recall the details for the twin carb models, but I'd guess one for fuel, one for vacuum. These two go to the petcock. Then two vent tubes that connect to nothing, probably clipped up somewhere around the airbox.

The middle T goes to the petcock and the hose on the outside of the left carb in front of the `air screw' connects to a vacuum tube going to the petcock. The hose coming off the inside (left side) of the right carb is also just drainage.

Yes, except the hose you have labelled 'res fuel' is actually the vacuum hose.

Alright fantastic! Thank you so much! I'm going to post more later. For this weekend I will be cleaning the carbs once more since I never drilled out the air fuel mix screws until a few minutes ago. Perhaps just really clean that jacket and screw.

I will get the battery tomorrow and change the oil, spark plugs, fog the cylinders and fire it. Or at least I hope it will fire up!
 
Not sure what the top picture says but it is the vacuum line which needs to be connected to the petcock or plugged up if you have switched to a non vacuum petcock. It is NOT `Res' or reserve if that's what you meant. The reserve setting on the petcock allows gas at the bottom of the tank to flow through the petcock but goes through the same fuel line. The bottom picture looks right to me. The middle T is the fuel line and the two inner ports are drainage. I don't even have hoses on them on my GS450.
