I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hi. Im looking to get myself a new valve cover gasket, since Im due to adjust my valves. There is a company online, <<Real Gasket Tennessee>> that seems to sell a very good silicon reusable gasket for 25USD, which seems like a good price. Only problem is, Shipping to Canada (In a big and light envelope probably) is close to 60USD! bringing the total price close to 90USD, which is not in my budget for one gasket. Question is; Is there a place where I could get good reusable gaskets without having to pay too much for them? I can find some paper gaskets, but since I need to open the top multiple times to adjust and test my valves, I would like a reusable one if possible.

Those Real Gaskets don't work well. When tightening the screws the gasket squirms out of position, and there is no clamp load on the screws, so they loosen. Bottom line: the Suzuki GS valve cover is designed for a flat, non-compressible gasket. Your best bet is to buy a OEM gasket, and use some grease on it before install, so it doesn't stick.

Problem is, Im having quite the difficulty finding some, especially because I need the one with the extra bolt hole. I ordered one and I think I will try to scan it and make a DWG file with it. If im successful ill post it here for those whot want to cut it themselves.

One other thing to consider: your tach cable attaches to the valve cover. Putting in a thicker gasket will move the drive gears apart, you may lose your tach drive function.

Indeed. I instead went with a standard gasket. I will scan it to have a DWG and to be able to get it cut again
