A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I recently installed a K&N jet kit on my 85GS750ES (stage 3 with individual filters and 4:1 aftermarket exhaust) now the bike starts and idles fine but bogs from 2000 rpm to 4000 rpm where it clears up and runs great. Any ideas on what it can be?

Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks a bunch

I have the same problem

I have the same problem

I am same boat you are in. I ran it like that for about three weeks. Now that I have a little time I am going to fix it. I just pulled the carbs off about to dig in. If I find the cure I will let you know what I did
Cbrophy 80 750L
pods+ and a 4 into 1 kerker with no end cap

I am thinking that its running to rich I find out when my colortune gets here.

Lower the clip on the needle two notches. The Dynojet recommended jetting is on the lean side on the needle.

Many Many Thanks Chef, will do that. Will post and let you know the results.

Moving e-clip down two did'nt work, made it worse. I moved the e-clip back then proceeded with lowering the float bowl level. Smoothed it out a bit but still there from 2000-3800rpm. CHanged the baffle in my exhaust to a larger one, will test ride and let you know if that does anything.

Thanks

Do plug chops in the needle circuit range. (around half throttle) and check your plugs. If rich (dark or black) lower the needle by putting the clip on a higher notch and lean (white) raise the needle by putting it on a lower notch. Sorry it didn't work out for you. Are you sure you have the right main?
I set the float with a digital caliper with the gasket removed.
