If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Does anyone know if there was a change in the ratio of the speedo?
It seems to also not show the petrol tank level incorrect also.

Hope someone can help.

yes the instruments look right, but i am wondering if there ever was a change in the drive ratio of the gear on the front wheel?
It is the only way i can understand why it is showing about 20 KM/H tomuch speed whn driving.

I am going to remove the fuel level metering device as soon as i have time, does anyone know if this is alot of work if it is easy?

There was a write up done by Jethro on here (happy birthday Jethro) .. about repairing a fuel sending unit.

Search fuel sending unit repair.

Welcome - that's a beautiful ride. Here in the states, the 750ES was a 1 year bike (1983), it was down-sized to 700 in 84 and 85 to get in the country under the displacement limit that brought a tariff. We didn't get this color combination (or the black with red highlights) as an option, nor were factory lowers an option. Sweet!

And definitely check out Jethro's fuel metering maintenance - that seal is delicate! and the job is fairly easy too.

My first bike was a 1986 750 es, and i have been missing it sinse i had to sell it when we stertedahving kids and bought an apartment.
It is so good to have one again.

But does anyone know anything about the speedo problem. i Found the fuel gauge post so i am going to do that as soon as i have time, but i still ned som more info about the speed.
