A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

ooo ooo and i painted the triple trees too.... they were filthy and now they are nice ;)

In my book (which is a bit on the thin side, hah), there's nothing too much wrong with mixing tyre brands/types. The main things are that they've got plenty of tread, not squared-off, and aren't hardened with age.

And yeah, that is a pretty cool-looking tread pattern.

HI Nik
Mate I also have a gsx 400 f but I am keeping it stock . the bike is 99% complete except for the little tool holder and tool bag. I will be starting the resto when I get the room in my shed . Good to see some one else with the same bike as mine.:)

Nik, your mate's onto a good thing with the Sport Demons.

I just put some on mine and man they rock! I haven't even had a real good run in dry weather yet (rains every time I try) but they already feel 10 times better than the Scorpions I had on there and have me feeling much more stable in the twisties and wet.

One day I'll get a whole big ride without rain and then I'll really know how they feel...

That's pretty cool Nik, what material does it print with? ABS or something?

I'm curious too. I've thought about 3D printed parts too, but am very curious about durability and strength. Not that a plate frame has to be terribly tough.

this is done in PLA.
For its purpose - its plenty strong.

Bare in mind if you do get things printed, ABS is more heat resistant, however for their application this was more than fine. Plus you cant print ABS on the new makerbot 2.0 unless you get the "X" version with a heated platform ;)

Just so you gentleman know, you can get metal 3D printed too. All you have to do is log into 'Shapeways" and upload your part, then you can get a quote on any material they have available. Sterling Silver if that is your thing ;)

just finished my first attempt at soldering and a quick 9v battery test...

Lighting for the bike is working a treat ;) cant WAIT to get this on..

Good stuff Nik, where'd you get the LED strips from?

And no sarcasm, it is definitely cool stuff :)

haha ok.
I got them off Radiantz. On their ebay account. These are just their basic ones which i cut to size. you can get ones with a hundred density of LEDs lol too expensive for me ;)

nice work bro :p

think i may have found a compete gsxr400f front end for ya :D
