A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

GSXR 1127 cylinder block in GS 1150?

Blower

Forum Mentor
Is it possible to use 1127 GSXR cylinder block in GS 1150 engine?
I don?t want to resleeve original cylinder block, but want to make
1330 or 1360 cc engine. APE or MTC big blocks are too expensive
and I have one 1127 cylinder block.

You'll probably have to bore the cases going that big???

ray could answer this but i will so no because i have never seen this done before.
head yes, cylinder maybe???

Head yes, cylinder no. This is due to oil holes in the wrong places for one. The biggest reason no is because the GSXR has a shorter stroke &, therefore, the block is too short. Ray.

Not to high jack but if I read this right a GSXR 1100 head will bolt on to an 1150, which must mean it will also fit an 1100 correct? If this is the case does the same work in the 750 motors[83 750 motor and an87 gsxr 750 head? sorry about the high jack :D

Ok, thanks!
But, if using Hayabusa pistons (shorter than GS pistons), "stroker plate" to cover oil holes in lover end and pulgging oil return holes in the cylinder head?

I won't say it can't be done but I would not want to go through all the custom machine work to make one work. I have 10 big blocks to work with though. Ray.

Thank you Ray!
I?m going to forget that idea and continue to searching a spare 1150 cylinder block.
