I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Gsxr front fender difference

I'm looking to get a front fender for a set of 89 GSXR RSU forks.

Looking at the parts listings, they do look different and have slightly different mounting plates. However I was wondering if the mount locations for the forks are the same.

Can a fender from a 87 be used on 89 forks and visa versa?

Thanks,

Nic

BTW, Airtech's catalog would be a good place to get an idea of what will fit.

The 1100 kept the same suspension in '89 as the '88 IIRC. The 750 moved on.

1100 forks sorry. Yeah I know they were RSU untill 90. USD starting in 91

The fender assembly looks different between the 87 and 89 years. But the mounts look like the should line up in the same spot.

I'll check the airtech catalog.

Thanks,

Nic

I have an '86 in the garage and use to have an '88 fork on mine. They do look as if they mount the same. The 1st generation fender is a bit flatter than the '88 and up but they do look like they could be substituted.
