DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

There must be two ways of doing this ,One is to make a compleaty new swing arm and put it back to the old way with the two shocks or Two cut the the frame ,eg battery mounts rear foot peg support and fit a mono shock, it looks like the gsxr swing arm is about two inchers longer ,which
leaves a question for the handeling of the bike .

I have a GSXR swingarm on my Katana 1170. I had it modded to take twin shocks, more because everyone else was mono-shocking theirs and I like to be a bit different. I can't say it made any great difference to the handling. Most people will tell you you have to cut and weld the rear footpeg hangers to clear the Gixxer arm but you don't, at least I didn't. It is a bit tight but not overly so. The biggest difference is the wider choice of tyres that the Gixxer wheel affords espically mated to the ZZR1100 front I put on. By the way anyone putting a ZZR11 front end on their bike, this set up looses you a lot of ride height.

On my '85 700 I didn't have room with the stock peg hangers for the swingarm I'm using, a '93 banana. I had to gain as much room as I could so I welded 1/4" steel plate right where the subframe joins the frame near the pivot point. I kept it as close to the outside edge of the frame as I could and bolted GSX-R rearsets to those. They look better and are quite a bit lighter than the stock arrangement. This may not be necessary for everyone, but it had to do it.

You bloody beauty,This is what I was looking for . Meany thanks to ya :D
