Trying to take short cuts makes the job twice as hard.
1 did you replace the intake boot O rings? & check boots
2 Did you dip the carbs and do a through cleaning
3 Did you rebuild the airbox seals?
answer to #1 yes new
#2 there where diped then taken and sonic cleaned as well
#3 all new seals on air box
used mineral oil before installing my seals ease of install and never put seals in dry.
side note , these carbs where cleaned before, and new kits put in then
i went ahead and put another new kit in because i was undoing what i didnt know as a fact,
the reason was ?? guy supposivly done tune up on bike when some how 2 small scews got into cyl # 1 he fired the bike and it when to knocking ,
long story short he sold bike to my uncle , who took head off found the issue , put new piston in had head redone the shop broke the head ,
he got another head, and the bike has never ran since now.
i beleive my issue is a lean deal, it may be from mix scews, or carb syc,
for some reason the setting of the floats by the book didnt work in this case, why , i dont know, i had to revert back to the way i used to set my dirt bike to keep from flowwing over, , may have to revisit that , but thats not the reason it wont idle below 3 grand,
since i have the bike running, i will recheck the cam gaps see if they have changed , i have a real nice feeler gauge from a transmission that will work great there they will go from #3 all the way up to 15,
im going for 8 on exhaust and 5 intake
as for syc the carbs , and setting them ther is a x bike racer in town who used to race suzuki he said he can set them up if i get the bike close to running correctly,
