A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hagon 2810 series shocks now available for GS line

I have been actively hunting for a mid-line shock upgrade option and have compared and researched nearly all available.

I've been leaning toward Hagons after talking to the folks at davidquinn and Hagonusa.

I really wanted a dampening adjustement option though, which was not offered in the base line of Hagon Road shocks.

However, I was looking over the applications list on HagonUSA yesterday and noticed that the 2810 series is availible for GS bikes now.

I first emailed davidquin and HagonUSA who both responded that the 2810 series was NOT available. However as both companies dug deeper, having confirmed with HagonUK, the line IS availible on special order.

10 step dampening on bottom and preload adjustment at top.

I was quoted $305+shipping from davidquin with an estimated delivery time between 3 and 5 weeks. http://www.davequinnmotorcycles.co/ asks for a deposit of 1/2 of the total when the order is placed as a show of good faith, and will take the rest of the total when the order is shipped (which I kinda of like in a way so I don't have to shell out the total all at once...)

They come with a complete 2 year unlimited mileage warranty...same as their entry level Road Shocks.

Tons of options as far as configuration and springrate.

The negative? Not rebuildable...... But, the folks over at davidquinn motorcycles let me know that the regularly see folks getting 80,000 miles out of the Road Shocks so probably not that big of a deal.

I know there are tons of options for shocks out there, but I thought I'd share another strong option for a Quality mid line shock option.

Is that price with or with out the springs?

How do the Hagons compare to the progressives?

Thanks,
Dave

That is with spring, fully assembled.

Comparable with progressive if not a step better.

My brother has 'em on his GS750EX and it rides great. Firm and predictable. (Hagon non-adjustable). I might pick these up for my bike.
