DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

harbor frieght tire changer

Anyone ever use the Harbor Frieght tire changer with motorcycle adapter? It is on sale right now and was considering it. Might be easier than the tire irons and spoons. Please advise and thanks.
Terry.

I did, it works. Had to do three sets of bike tires at once and remove some car tires, so it paid for itself in one sitting. You need to fasten it down somehow, and you need to tie the bike wheel down so it can't spin on the machine. And be very careful, it would be easy to get injured using it. That is true with any tire mounting. So if you are capable of not hurting yourself it is capable of doing bike tires, and fairly quickly too. Definitely not Pro Tire Shop quality but it works. By the way, I'll do tires for any GSer in Denver for beers.

I'm picking up my GS550 from the shop today (haven't done jack on it in 2 months and I'm ****ed!) and I'll definitely be needing new tires before I get out on the road. What kind of beers do you like?

Not sure, maybe they suck this year?
Sorry I haven't seen any games this year, they don't have football here, just some pansy-ass game with a round ball.
Oh, rugby is pretty OK I guess.

Where do you se them on sale at? I looked at their catalog and they are prices at $49.95 for each assembly. Do you have to go a local store to get the $39.95 price?

yes the local stores have them on sale, picked up a tire changer and got a rain check for the motorcycle changer

can't bet 80 bucks for a tire changer. Don't forget you will need to get some spoons just in case you need them.

Make sure you sign up for Harbor Freight's mailings! I just received a 15% off any one item coupon that is good till close to the end of the month, and it CAN be used on sale priced items!! I'm toying with the idea of picking up the combo, but may take a pass simply because our gang regularly changes tires at Joe Nardy's and he's got it down to a science! Hard to justify buying a product I really can live without!
