I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

fenders from an old Harley Road King , Tank is a NOS GS550 , seat is a hang ten , every thing was modded to fit , Took me 2yrs off & on salvaging & making parts fit, The bike was an 850L that I have had since 1983, I stopped riding it around 86 & it rotted away till 2001 ,

Great build on the homepage.

You know, there was a bell tied to my more recent purchase. Have you got any idea what that's all about.

A road bell?

Yep it is a "Ride Bell" it is used to keep the gremlins at bay, something about the noise of the bell drives them mad and they cover their ears and end up falling off the bike. I have one, only problem is during the WV rally the falling gremlin desperately held onto my shift lever and pulled it off the bike  found it about 1/4 mile back.

ha ha,
yeah, that's not even comfortable for wheeling it up and down the driveway, but it's fun to have on there to keep the rain out of the electrical. 8-[ the pommel is too wide to really ride it anywhere tho.

I've never taken it a full mile at a time yet, still getting it sorted out, but coming along!! I hope to add some padding and leather to the sign seatpan. I don't know what the fender is, I found it at a recycling place in the yard, dented and marked up with a pink autobody marker... hammered out the bend with a rubber mallet, its not "pretty" per se, but it gives that flair.

there are round holes, oblong holes, holes with tabs in them, even a big square hole... I doubt I'll go to all the trouble to glass it or paint it, it's kindof a mockup, buit maybe if the bike runs for a few years I'll touch it up...

I might go so far as to cut that rear frame strut and caq the ends, i like the look you got bopi!! the way it is now tho I can go fully back to stock if I wanted. (or if someone else wanted...)

so whats a pommel

and the odd thing is I may have to go a find one myself.

I saw a rat harley this weekend, now it had all kinds of stuff hanging off of it but the thing that really caught your eye were the tailpipes. He had about two feet of pipe corkscrewed vertically from the back end up. There were alot of nice new bikes sitting in the parking lot but that was the one that got the most attention.

a saddle would really accomplish as much.

certainly dangerous to think too much

isn't the pommel the saddle horn? or the bridge across the front of the saddle?

looked it up, it's the swell at the front of the saddle, so yes this is what is too wide for your knees to grip the tank.

also, the saddle seat is less than padded, shall we say...

I got mine from posting a wanted ad for an old beater saddle for free, so I couldn't be choosy. I had no idea saddles were so expensive!!!

OK, anyway, getting this back on track, can anyone else add any rear fender ideas to this thread?
