A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Have some pooched GS1100ES carb screws and thought this low-dough screw set would do the trick: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/121389905439?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

From what I can see on the actual carb the stock diaphragm cover screws and the lower bowl screws are the same length. The only difference being the lower screw uses a washer. Meanwhile, this kit shows 2 different lengths.

I wrote the seller asking if his photo was for reference only and if his screws are actually 2 different sizes. No response.

Anyone used a dress set like this before? I have Allen case bolts on many of my bikes and I love the look. Would hope this seller knows what he's doing.

If you have a metric fastener supply nearby they will be a few pennies apiece.

To buy them locally in SS Allen head would be probably $50 or even more.

What about the 2 different lengths pictured in the eBay ad I posted? Any clue why they are 2 diff. lengths?

I was looking at these same listings a few days ago. Ended up just measuring my screws and ordering the SS Allen head bolts from Z1 for $.27 each + $.04 per washer. Super cheap and had to place an order anyway.

Wondered about the 2 lengths as well, the tops use 2 washers on mine - a flat and a lock washer.

I use this guy for SS screws. Not sure what shipping to the US is but within Canada it's really good.Smaller lot sizes are nice to IMHO.

I went to Fastenal and got mine including ones for the carb gang straps. Got the correct lengths as well. Cost me about $16 for everything.

Why would they cost that much? Where do you live?

There is a nut and bolt shop here that has been around for 60 years and they used to be good they are now a bunch of gougers. I bought 100 SS 6mm washers and they we $18. Small shops wonder why people are buying online. Its a Canadian city of 700K but choices are limited. Not like the US that still believe in value and customer service.
