If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

My headlight bucket is toast and I still have the original sealed headlight on my 78 gs750.

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket 7" headlight assembly that uses an H4 bulb?

I would like something that fits in the original headlight bucket arms and can fit the wires behind the lamp.

Please Help!

Was there enough room for the wiring harness and did it fit in the stock bucket arms?

I'm on a stripped GK with 1100GL arms, the wiring did easily fit though. If there's a particular measurement you'd like I can take the tape measure to it. From what I saw looking up the picture just now they list two bucket types, a CB style and KZ style, with the KZ being a larger 7" pattern. I thought mine was the smaller CB style, and it doesn't seem to be a 7" model now that I think of it. :/

So, seems my review of the linked light may have been made too soon, but any information on the smaller CB light you'd want I can offer. FWIW the EMGO lights seem to be of much better quality than most EMGO stuff.

Online it seems the 7" emgo light measures 6.5" between mounting points

Thanks for the quick reply RedBaron, I'll take some measurements and get back to you to make sure it will fit the stock arms

The stock headlight bucket measures about 7.5" between mounting points and the bucket arm mounts about 3" long from the forks
