Saw this in a magizine, so its not original, but it could save your life!
Get a roll of reflective tape and your helmet. Start on one side near the ear area in the center with the tape, a litte ways back from the face. Go all the way around the back with it to the same spot on the other side. From the ends, come out at a 45 top and bottom, making an arrow on each side. Now, when you do a shoulder check in the direction of your lane change, drivers will see an arrow on the side of your helmet telling them which way you are going!
