A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I lost or mislaid my key, and when I called a locksmith he said the number I gave him made no sense.
This is the number on the seat lock.
I can't tell if it's 611 or 119, what do you think?
Is this the number that tells you guys which key to have made?
Any other way to find out what key I need to have made?

119 is the key code you need.
I will check my key inventory and see if I have one to copy if you have no luck over there.
Or, I can have one made for you here.

Eric

The local bike shop here still can cut keys by those numbers. Check your local Suzuki dealer if Eric doesn't have one..

Thanks guys. I will try my best tomorrow around here, but if I fail I may have to take one of you up on your offers.

Brilliant.

Bringing this guy back up.

My bike is a project deal and came to me in the bed of a truck in every piece you could imagine: minus the keys. There are three locks on the bike: helmet/seat, tank, and ignition. The seat lock and tank both have imprinted numbers on them, for which I had a local pro locksmith cut for me. They work fantastic, but other than a 6 or so digit number that was cast into the ignition assembly, there are no identifying marks on the ignition module and neither of the two keys I had cut will turn.

Thoughts? Comments? Concerns?

Just take the entire assembly in and they can put a tumbler "reader" in and then match a key to fit..or they can just rekey everything you have so that just one key will operate everything...which is the way I would go if it were me. Easier to just have a 1 key fits all bike. Get a few extra copies made as well. A bit pricey but worth it in my opinion.

They just cut a key based on the three digit code on the tank/helmet lock. Doesn't work on the main ignition and I already gave them a bunch of money :(. Anyone know of somewhere I could send all the pieces to have keys cut?
