A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well my 750E which has been running great suddenly decided to start stumbling at all rpms. I took it to a track day this weekend and really ran it good. Everything was fine and then all of a suddent she started to stumble. It felt loke it was running fat. I got it home and pulled the plugs and all looked good. A little fat on the bottom end but it has always been that way. I put new plugs in it and it was the same. Next I raised the idle to about 3000rpm and pulled one at a time each spark plug lead to see if I could pin point the problem down to one cylinder. Each time I pulled a lead the bike ran worse which leads me to believe it is not an ignition problem. The only things I can think is carburation or timing. I am going to pull the carbs and see what is up but like I said the plugs look fine. I have no air leaks and the filter is brand new. is there a chance it might have jumped a tooth on the cam chain? The motor fires right up and sounds healthy. No funny noises other that the stumble. I need to get it fixed by this weekend as I have a ride planned with some buddies. any advice would be welcome

Did it sart running fat during a run or on the way home?
Kinda sounds like the rubber plugs covering the jets in the float bowl might have slipped out of place.

during a run on the track.

I switched the petcock to prime and the same issue was still present.

I would be all over the carbs, something has probably plugged one of the passages, that or your Ignitor is not firing the coils properly

well I solved the problem. I believe the carb vent line was clogged and this was causing the problem. I pulled the carbs and all was well with them. I reinstalled everything and all is fine now. Thank god!!!
