DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ok so I just got in the mail my o-ring kit everyone said I should get. I also just ordered my k&ns and my stage 3 jet kit.

http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=RC-2382

http://www.jcmotors.com/p-2682-dynojet-stage-3-jet-kit-for-suzuki-gs550-katana-1982.aspx

So Im trying to order everything I need 1st but Im having trouble finding the main gas line T. The aluminum covered in rubber one. Also I cant get the jet that sits right above the main jet out. Every one of the heads on them, not stripped, but broke off when I was trying to unscrew them. Does anyone know the drill size to drill it out. I really dont want to mess this up! And Im trying to see if I can replace the mesh filter on the carb float valve if thats possible.

After all this info I hope to receive Im also looking for the instructions on this website on how to install each o-ring.

Thanks in advance.

Ok I never recommend easy outs for anything but pilot jets. If that's what you are even talking about. Can you post pics before I get all blowhard about possibly the wrong thing?

Oh and thats the the gas feed T i need to buy. Its to the right of the carb

What's wrong with the T?

Get an Easy out and a drill. Drill out the center of the pilot jet to the right size for the easy out to bite. Before trying to get it out heat the area with a torch till it's very hot. Then try the easy out.

Hi,

I don't see your bike's year and model in your signature file. But the fuel "T" for a lot of the '80-'83 750s and 850s is part# 13685-45110 and is available for around $25 depending on where you shop. Yeah, I know it's a little pricey. But if you get a new one you won't have to worry about it for another 25 years or so. Is yours leaking?

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Its a 1982 gs550.
well the jets are so old they crumbled when i tried to twist them out (just the heads). and the rubber parts around the T r coming off. Its not leaking but i want to do it right the 1st time.

Hi,

Click on the "User CP" link in the upper left corner and put this information in your signature file. Then you won't have to type it and we won't have to ask. ;)

If they crumbled when ya put a screw driver to they're sure to crumble when ya try to drill em.
Never heard of brass just crumbling though.

Thank you BassCliff. But yea same here not a single other jet are like these. The other one will just strip were these crack apart. So should I just drill them out?

Hi,

I think that's your only option. Be very, very careful. Do you have a vice and a drill press, etc?

Thank you for your indulgence,
