A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

81gs7501166

Guest
I was told by the PO that my 81 gs750 had a 82 gs1100 engine.
I would like to know what it really is?
#ontop of engine above clutch cover. GS110X-110092.
Help!
I've looked all over the web, can find frame ID he'll but none for engine?
Thanks

On the front, perhaps under the exhausts?

And then, should it be 1100, remember there are still two possibilities: E (4 valve) vs G (2 valve). I know the 4 valve is measured (stamped) as either 1074 or 1075cc, don't know about the two valve. Keep your fingers crossed for the big 4 valve!

Yes I'm sure of the ccs, it's the year I'd like to know. I put a 1166 jug off a x race bike and g3 cams, bolted right up. Just curious bout the correct year? I'm trying to order the decal, emblems that stick on ea side of engine, 1 of mine, 3-7/8, the other, 3-5/8. The set on e Bay for 81-82, are both the same size. I've found a set that reads tscc, that are 1 larger than the other, which is what I think I need?

If its a 4 valve, and it hasn't been repainted, if its silver its prob a 80-82 and if its black its an 83.

It's silver, it's a 16 valve. I put the 1166 in and had the valves ground. The cover in front of the clutch has a smaller emblem than the one on the other side of bike. The set on e Bay for a 82 are the same size. They both have (SUZUKI) on them. The set for 83, has 1 larger and 1 smaller, with (SUZUKI TSCC) on them. I believe the tscc emblems will fit. Their 40$ a set ,and I want to get the correct ones.

GSX110=1100 16v. chain drive engine....simple.
or what the op said...i may have the X in the wrong place.

Ok, thanks guys, I'm ordering the tscc emblems. Rain hear today, I'm pulling all side covers and hitting them with jewlers rouge and my polishing wheel. I used the Wrong alum cleaner, and they all got acid marks. Benn over 10 years since last polish, they were loosing luster anyway.
Any special tips on these emblems install?
