A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So here is what my bike looks like now. I am going to be making her mine, over time. I am thinking of either drag bars or clubmans (I'm 6'2"). Also planning to lose the seat, tailpiece & plastic rear fender. I will probably make a pan for the seat by taping everything off, putting down some aluminum tape with bowling alley wax and laying fiberglass over it. I would like to keep the original hinges and lock for flip up access, helmet hanger and storage. This may be a little tough to get the recessed area for hinges just right and the lock sticks out a little far and may make what I am going for a little wide. What I want to finish with is a 1 piece chrome rear fender bobbed off about 6-9 inches beyond the end of a flat seat. I will probably trim the front fender to a smaller profile. There's obviously alot of other work that will be happening but you should get the general idea of what I want her to look like. Think Commando seat with shorter fenders. I would appreciate any input you guys have...

You should go over to Big D and have them give you some advice. You would hate to learn everything the hard way, and they have some experience in bobbers. ,BK

My bad. Guess the picture is too large. It shows up on my end.

Great thanks! I did that but thought the pic was going to be too large again. Appreciate the help.

Here is my 850G(for ideas). But it didnt look as good as yours when before I did it.

Octain. That is a good looking bike. The exhaust is awesome! What is that! I will be going with a lot of black but I want the little chrome rear front and rear fender and a flatter more passenger friendly seat. Also, cant help but notice that master cylinder; what is that from?

I saw their website. They have done some nice bikes! Do you know them? Are they cool with free advice to a newbie like me?
