    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Brandon, those bars do look a lot like yours but I don't recall any measurements on them either:

And apologies for the thread jack!

Back on topic, I believe there is both a low and high tone horn on the bigger GS', my little 450 just has the good ol' meep meep single tone which is useless.

I got one of these Stebels for the Kat which seems to have a good tone and volume to it, and these guys are just at Virginia also:

I'd bet a dollar theyre the same... if they end up being annoying and moving ill weld a tab on to bolt it to the triple like a factory would.

Thanks for the invite.... appreciate it... once I have it running I will definitely like to tag along.... with the XS400 you guys would have to promise not to get out of 3rd... maybe even 2nd gear so I could keep up.....

Good stuff, Musgrave/Waterworks Rd is my usual route home of an afternoon (I work in the Valley), so if you see my little old GS450 rolling through give us a wave.

Definitely let me know if you're keen to join us on a Saturday morning and I'll let you know the details. I typically get out about once a fortnight, but probably the 6th January is the next time I'll get up there.

Keen to see some pic's of the bikes for sure.

Oh, and for genuine parts, I can highly recommend Mick Hone down in Victoria. If you're not just buying an oil filter usually his price plus postage ends up the same or cheaper than the local dealers here and those guys give excellent service. They're Katana specialists so that makes it even more appealing for myself of course :)

Haha no worries, although we're not all that fast... most of us are my age or older (mid 40's and up) and are over our boy racer days, although there are a few spots where we let loose a little. There's usually an SR500 with us and a fella we call slow Dave... and I'm only on the 450 until I finish my Kat...
