A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Honda R/R, Will it fit?

I was told they have to be from an 04 or above. Honda Foreman or Rubicon atv. I'm currently searching for one myself.

A red, a green and only two yellow wires. I'm going with it won't work.

The last one shown should be a Shindengen SH 538. It will have 8 wires, 3 yellow, 2 red, 2 green and one black. It will work fine as I just put one on my 750 last Thursday.

The reds are power out and the greens are grounds. The black is a sense wire. In my case I joined the two reds and connected to my harness. The grounds, I wired one to my harness and the other directly to the negative post of the battery. The sense wire I attached to the positive post , temporarily as I will move it to a 'switched" power line in due course.

The holes on the R/R will pretty near fit the stock with a minot bit of "reeming" as they are a millimeter or two too wide.

Mr. Matchless has produced a wonderful list of all useable R/Rs so have a look at that to compare the models that are available.

Good luck.
Cheers,
spyug

I just put a SH232 on my 450. The mounting holes fit perfect but it is larger outside dimensions than the original and I had drill new holes in the igniter to move it about 1/2 inch.

Also, make life easy on yourself and order a wiring plug kit from Eastern Beaver. And check out some of the other stuff available

I messagesd the guy, it is a sh538-12.

Its ending soon, So should I try that one or one of the ones I found?
Personally I'd get the SH538-12.

I had the same model R/R at one time, I just can't remember who's bike I hung it on.

by the by, I had it bookmarked to purchase for the Skunk. ;)

I looked into the auction this AM, saw that it ended and hoped it was you that bought it.
