    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Howdy, new-found pals! I am new to this forum, new to in-line fours, new to Suzukis and new to my '78 GS750C. But, I ain't new, as I have been busy with motorcycles for over 42 years. My involvement began with a CB450 Honda, went to BMWs (I had 3 of those), back to Honda with V4s and a CBX and a couple Gold Wings and I've refurbished and restored a number of machines, some British, some Honda and some BMW and a Ducati round case. Oh - and a Hummel Type 155 Zweirad Union DKW moped. This GS of mine is in pretty good shape, with low miles, but not used or cared for much in many years. It does "run" well, and I've already done a bunch of stuff, but now am plodding along, as little nuances have me now looking for consults. So, at this point I am glad someone pointed me to this list. If there are any sure-nuff '78 GS 750 experts out there, please ring the bell so I can maybe get in a one on one when I come up begging. I reckon the forum archives and/or the general question to the forum will mostly do, but I would like a contact or two in case I need someone to "draw me a map" on something puzzling me. Looks to be a good forum. Bevo

Bevo,

Welcome to GSR.

78 GS750.
The first GS, I think.

Do post some pics.

You are in the right place. There is NO more knowledgeable place on the planet when it comes to the beloved GS of ANY year and displacement...

Welcome to the site ! ! !

Howdy, Pals, Thanks for the greetings and links, and well-wishes! Wasn't too keen on replying to every single one, as some lists I've been on despise a nod every time somebody surfaces. But, please know ... ALL courtesies MUCH appreciated by me! I'll post some pics, soon. So far, all I have are files of pics (random) and an iPhoto collection, but I reckon I can get them to work, eh? I haven't yet set the GS for decent shots, but I will, soon.

Hey, good news, in addition to the access to the Service Manual on the link sent to me, I went by the Suzuki Shop near me and asked if they had any duplicates and sure enough! Yep, snagged their spare for $27.06, including tax. It's in great shape! Bevo
