A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I hate it when you get a sticky crank

I think alittle WD40 might just do the trick :-k

This is how I check my rod side clearance

I hurt the crank early this year. I swapped out my 36 NOS jets with some 60's and only ran 5.70 in the 1/8. My MPH was only 122 so something was a miss.

Getting around to putting the motor backed together and thought that crank would make a nice pic hanging in the air ??

I'm starting to feel like the guy in the "World's Fastest Indian" with all the broke parts laying around

Self taught RC pilot, what goes up hard comes down with a bang.

That's my quarter-scale P51 I built 20 years ago when station at Zweibruecken AB Germany. There's only so much german beer a guy can drink when it gets dark at 5 pm, so I needed a hobby. Swings a 2 foot prop on a Super Tiger 30cc motor. It's kinda like flipping your lawn mower upside down and trying to hand start it.

The other one with a white bottom wing is a glider had to put some white on it cause I get it so high it's just a black dot in the sky. I just lay down in the grass and fly it for an hour or so until the ants get me.

I was going to say, hey dude your bike fell off!!!

But, now I see, got some red green and yellow paint on the rods.

Pretty much a full split the cases type of deal.

Hey,

This web site is pretty good, I'm sure the masses will help you get the engine back together.

Well, as long as you have done the 'rotorooter on the bike, dipped carbs, o-rings, stator papers, and such...

Oh yea, bike fell off.....

search cragslist or something, sure there is one out there that that crank will fit in...........

:p

Jake, when you say you went from a 36 jet to a 60, do you mean horsepower level (#16 nitrous jets up to #20 nitrous jets)?

BTW are you putting a straight-cut in it now? I noticed that crank has an angle-cut primary on it and that's no good with an 1166 on spray.

Yeap a 60 hp shot of nitrous and I do have a straight cut crank but I broke that one too along with a wrist pin

I lost the pic of my old angle cut gear that I broke the center out of, it lasted about 2,000 runs.

Just that one rod is locked up. On the bottom pic you can see about 3 of the needle bearings or pins poking their heads out.
