A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I Hate When that Happens...

So after having the bike for a few weeks and putting on close to 1000 miles, I thought it was time to change the oil. I prepped the garage for the arrival of my bike, just before taking a nice 1/2 hour ride, just the get the engine and oil nice and hot. My toolbox out, a nice piece of cardboard to sit on and catch any stray oil, even a beer was waiting for me when I got back. I took a back road near my home, along some train tracks where hardly any LE is ever seen. I pass by a few junk yards, one of my favorite old rusty bridges where the tracks go over. The road is a short cut from all the light stops on the more popular street. I imagine only the adventurous know about this route and I feel compelled to take advantage of the open road.

After getting back from a non eventful ride, the garage door and beer are opened. I'm all prepped and ready to go. I reach for what looks like at least a 19mm socket. Nope. DAMN!!! My next size socket I have is a 22mm. Too big... Just like the Volvo I recently bought, I didn't have the correct size socket to pull the drain plug! I'm guessing it is a 21mm, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll go out tomorrow and pick up the correct socket.

So my zen like approach to changing oil was for naught, this later afternoon. I'll have to take a deep breath, relax and try not to get ****ed when stuff like this happens... ommmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I'm Trying Not to Laugh! WITH You, not AT You because Myself and So Many Others Have Been There or at Least in Similiar Circumstances Before! :-D
