A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I was sent gs750 coils instead of gs1100

How do you know they're from a 750?

In 83 the coils were the same between the 750 and 1100. Other years were slightly different but all were 12V system coils. I see no reason they wouldn't work. Do you know if the 750 coils came from a points or electronic ignition system?

Mine are cylindrical and white. These are much smaller and black. And the seller wrote 83 gs750 on them. I'm unsure about which systems. And if that's the case I'll put them on

Wire them correctly? You mean like which goes on which cylinder? Lol. I hope you don't mean neg and pos lol, I gotta look up which plug goes where

Just pulled them completely out. The lines are insanely short. Like holy vow short. Is there a way to make new ones? Is there an instructional anywhere for a young buck like me?

Positive goes to orange white. The other two match to the coil.
The one with the shorter spark plug wires is for 2&3.
He got the coils from me and I sent the better black/gray set from the 83 750.

The shorter ones? They seem to be a good three inches shorter for all ends. I'm not saying they're bad chef. I just needed to know more about them, and if the lines can be lengthened. They are short but you gave me a good deal and I want to use them. Nothing towards you at all.

One coil has longer spark plug wires. This coil is for the 1&4 cylinders.
Did you note where the coils went? Take pictures?
