A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

No idea what it is. No numbers, manufacturers, etc. Its pretty beat up but, after I powdercoat it I'm sure it will look awesome.

Looks like an older yoshimura race pipe, I may be wrong though.

Well maybe not race given the smaller diameter piping but it definitely looks like the same design. Did that come off of the 650?

Indeed it did. It does look strikingly similar to an old Yosh though I must say. Though, I don't think it is. Wouldn't it be branded somewhere?

Oh damn, I think it might be... Check this out. Just about 2/3s the way down a post by a user named "T_Dub."

Edit: If its Yosh, JACKPOT! :D

EditEdit: IT IS! Check out my second picture. See that little hole right at the end of the exhaust? Now, loot at the same place in the picture below. See that nut? YES!!!! (I hope) From what I gather, it should be a Yoshimura Series I Drag pipe. The "nameplate" that was one these was a sticker (makes sense most of these are not tagged). Anybody know if this is a good, bad, expensive, rare exhaust? hahaha

Powder coat will burn on an exhaust unless some sort of special high heat powder is used.

Sorry, needed to be more clear. I'm probably going to get it sandblasted and just use Header paint. The black, crazy high-heat type.

Congrats, those old yoshimuras are pretty desirable. I've heard they sound excellent too.

Thanks! I can barely find any info on it, not even a video. I'm lucky I even found a picture and description of it on that forum I found. They do sell old Yosh replicas like this one, but the price must be astronomical since you have to order it from a Yoshimura distributor.

Thank the Suzi gods that this came on my bike, because this is a bonus beyond bonus. :D

Nick, the Yosh Replica from Motogpwerks is a very reasonably priced system.

For some reason I can't get even get to the Yosh products page :o Oh well, I just need to get it looking good :D

If you are going to do it right, nothing comes cheap on these bikes.

This is true. I will call and ask today about their prices/what they recommend.

Update: price is $250 (don't think it includes shipping). But, it is full coating inside and out with lifetime warranty.
