    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Nice looking bike but please don't put your kids life at risk riding around without a helmet. If you die fine (not really), but please protect the young-uns.

nice pics I have the 1100G same color with the windjammer ferring, I am assuming you got it worked out? since it is running in the pics? was reading your posts I had the same problems with my 1100G it sat for 15 years before I got a hold of it. I hope it runs great for you!!!

I will go back and edit the original post. He told me someone would point that out. He was just riding him down to his friend's house, in our subdivision, 2 blocks away. We ride with helmets, but thanks for the concern :D

Yep, the bike looks good. The young lad looks like he's got a big ol' smile on his face. I also encourage helmet use, but I won't scold you. I just moved my bike from the back parking lot to the front parking lot without a helmet.

you know that saying like 98% of auto accidents happen within 5 miles of the home.....

well it seems that 98% of motorcycle accidents happen within 5 feet of the driveway...

most of the time its when people are doing short cruises or even just "around the block"

thats all ill say... were all adults here

SWEET! Got one just like it--in 247 pieces. Hope to have it together soon; with all of the knowledge and goodwill of the fine GSR forums, sooner rather than later.

I'm sure you have dealt with alot more of the problems than we have. Ours was "running" when we got it, but had quite a few electrical gremlins. We still have to replace the starter relay, the front brake switch, the left handle switch, replace the oil pressure lead, find a left side cover, fix the oil leak at the oil filter cover, along with change the oil, replace the o-ring at the shifter, figure out why the gas guage isn't working right, do all the normal maintenance stuff (carbs, airbox, valves, etc), plus get everything cleaned and polished. We were just happy to be able to get it on the road today, even though we had to start it with a screwdriver!
