A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ok so I had a 1985 Gs1150 awhile back. The blue and white model, 1985. And I must say, for an old bike, I really really loved the torque and speed it had. Oh and it was all stock except for a full exhaust by Vance & Hines. I needed money at the time and sold it ..Darn it. Oh well life goes on. Ok heres my question. I know the gs1150 has 1136 cc's stock. And am planning to stick a 1989 gsxr 1100 (1127 stock ) on a gs1150 frame I have laying here. Will it run like the gs1150 or will it be a lot more torque, speed, etc. ? Thanks for the input

Less torque, more hp. The GS motor has more potential than the GSXR in a GS frame. Weight, or LESS of it, was why the 86 GSXR was such a rocket in it's day. Ray.

more money more power

more money more power

my comparison of which is faster?-- Pro Stock N.H.R.A. Suzuki guys still run the GS 1150 base engine not the 2nd GEN GSXR...

Guess for real world riding it depends on how much money you are willing to dump into either one.

1127 is a cool engine. but the rods are heavy and weak, wise decision get H beams.

plain bearing engines- yuck.

In stock form there is no comparison, The GSXR motor is about 45HP more. Both answers to your question prior are based on if you build to motors.

ross,
no.
1150=101@ the rear wheel.
1127 engine 128 or so@ the rear wheel.
he's talking oil cooled GSXR...not anything injected.

thanks

thanks

Thanks blowerbike, thats wat I opt to know , in stock form. As I dearly loved my old 1150 which was my daily driver but since then sold it but was wondering if I would have if the same power with a gsxr 1127 oli cooled motor stuff in my 1150 frame since I have a motor here but would really love a 1150 but cant afford one. Anyone wanna trade straight across? hihih lol. for a 1150 motor. BTW blowerbike hows your neck of the woods? I see you are in Ohio? Used to stay in Gallapolis and loved fishing my backyard ( the ohio river)
