A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

June 17th 2009 late am I ordered the C906 and C907 cheng shin hi-max tires online with them. they shipped the tires the same day as they were ordered and I received them the next day via UPS ground.

the tires came packed packed in a box!
I don't know about "you'alls" but I have never received tires that were shipped in a box before.

I had absolutely no issues in my dealings with them. they e-mailed the receipt and included a copy of the invoice in the box I received the tires in. but most importantly I can recommend them...

additional tire info...
date codes on the tires that I received were 3508 and 3808
100/90h1-19 "C9062" front load index 57H
130/90h1-17 "C9078" rear load index 68H

I have never experienced their shipping, I just hop on the bike and do the 90-mile ride over there.

Might have to see if they still have another set of HiMax tires for my freebie 850. :-k

.

i bought a 130/90 17 from them on ebay. should be here monday. $61 total. seems like a pretty good deal.

All tires from Dennis Kirk are shipped in a box. I have heard good things about Iron Pony though.:)

Its possible you'll never see tires NOT shipped in a box again. I used to be able to UPS, USPS, or FedEx rims (tires or no) with just two peices of cardboard on top and bottom, and then wrapped with celophane and shipping label. UPS and FedEx here wont do that anymore. They simply wont take em. USPS, i dont know, as I only ship with them as a last resort. I dunno if this is a nationwide thing with UPS and FedEx, but i would bet so. E V E R Y T H I N G has to have a box now. Period. Yours, theirs, they dont care, but its got to be in a box or crate of some sort.

I looked at Iron Pony but decided to go with Dennis Kirk. For the bridgestone spitfires(100/90-19 & 130/90-16), iron pony was $141.98 and dennis kirk was $124.98. I've used dennis kirk before with excellent results. I put the extra money towards some new fork springs.

From ironpony they were 109.98 shipped. http://www.americanmototire.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=33_96_97 has them for about $106 shipped.
It seems like cheng shin started producing the hi-max tire series again after it was claimed that they were being discontinued. AMT didn't show having the sizes I needed a month ago, now they do.

I don't know if it is the case, it just appears that way to me.

got my tire today. put it on and went for a ride. feels good. sixty one bucks delivered. i'd buy from them again.
