DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have a GS850GZ and am finally going to get it together, I took some vacation to go to the GS rally and Oshkosh and instead am going to spend the time and money to actually fix the bike. at least some of it.

So, that being said, Bike Bandit wont sell parts COD, and I wont have the money till the first day of my scheduled vacation. I can special order them at the dealer at that point and have em in 3 days, or buy a prepaid credit card and get em from da bandit.

1) is there anywhere that sells COD?

2) how is Bike Bandit's service? can I expect fast shipping, and how do their prices hold up against a dealer, am I saving anything?

COD is pretty much dead as a dinosaur. Companies got burned on refusals too much.

I have used Bikebandit exclusivly for NOS parts, Have never had anything back ordered, have never been sent the wrong part, and have never waited more than 4 days to get my stuff. I doubt anybody does the COD anymore.

It depends on what you are ordering Bike bandit WIll notify you if items get backOrdered You need a credit card makes ordering easy

yeah, I dont know that COD is dead as a dinoasaur, but I guess in motorcycle parts it is. Im a parts guy at a large car dealership and we COD all the time. daily even. I also just COD'd the stuff to finish my water cooled PC a couple weeks ago, although I admit it was tough to find a company that offered that service.

so no real answer as to price differences but glad to hear bike bandit usually stocks the parts and doesnt backorder alot. I need about 650 bucks worth of hard parts for the top end and misc stuff to get it running 100% again.

thanks for the responses :D

Never had any problems with Bike Bandit, and reasonably fast service on OEM parts, and way cheaper than the dealer. More expensive than some other websites though, but completely reliable. Live chat works great too for any questions. My only problem with them is that because everything is computerized, they Back Order aftermarket parts that someone on the phone could find more easily. Great place though.
