All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I like the fendered version, but really, I like Bopi's better. All around.

If you're really going to build it hardtail don't forget the Preparation H !

If I get a hardtail I don't want a custom, just an old flathead Harley 45, 74 or 80, doesn't much matter, with a sprung centerpost seat. Just something to profile on and listen to those semi-muffled pipes! A jewel to take out on warm Sunday afternoons. 8-[ Or be HARDCORE and trailer it down to the Blue Ridge Parkway and cruise the 45mph speed limit all day.

Wow, I haven't been here for months and I came back because I got a few PMs from people who said. "I don't care what other people say, I think your bike looks awesome." For those who supported me and the bike project, thanks. Its refreshing to see some interest in modifications here that go beyond attaching saddlebags or fabbing Wes Cooley replicas.

Ron Bayless, you're a major league @sshole. I was really enthusiastic when I joined this site, but people like you are one of the reasons I haven't been back here in so long. It might seem crazy but the constant insults made me feel like not sticking around. With an attitude like that you'd think you secretly own a Harley.

A running bike's value doesn't suddenly drop to $100 just because Ron Bayless thinks it "looks stupid", and considers gaskets and carb work on an otherwise good functioning bike "lots of repairs".

For the record, the price hasn't been "artificially inflated". I'm just hoping the two people who bid on it were planning on paying. If the winning bidder ****s a brick if the pictures don't turn out to be worth a thousand words, who knows, I might even bargain.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.Your too funny.A major league ******* is better than a regular *******,right?

let me just say here and now,in all humbleness and sincerity Isaacs,I apologize for saying your bike is stupid looking and I wouldnt give a hundred bucks for it.That was rude and uncalled for.My bike with the laverne and shirley L,the buckhorn handlebars, and the stepped seat would probably cause someone to say the same thing about my bike.Of course they would be wrong. So,accept my apology if you will, but if you dont I understand that too.
