well my bike(1980 GS550) hasnt been running good for about 50 miles now, so i grew the balls to tear the carbs off to do a good cleaning, this is the first time i've cleaned them, owned the bike since march and have put 2800 miles on it, first off i had a helluva time getting all the stripped screws off the carbs , had to use an impact driver, and when i took the float bowls off , i found 2 pilot jets that are stripped and i cant get out, and also found 3 or 4 different main jet sizes (i lost one, haha, but i think it was the same as another), the far right (from the rear oft he bike) has a K92, the next one has a RD925 or 526 , and the next one is about the same size as the first one, but different numbers, and the last one is on the floor somewhere, does this sound right to anyone???? i dont think that any of them are mikuni jets, the only thing done to the bike is 4 into 2 straight pipes (probably homeade), and what this guy calls a jet job, any ideas on what i should do?, anyone recommend a dynojet stage 3, and how should i get my stripped pilot jets out?
