    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I just fitted my katana with a damper. Wanted to do it with my last frame but it was powder coated when I thought about it so this one has outfitted.

She is a tight fit under all the plastic and fairing frame but she is all clear

You can also mount them to the fairing brackets if you don't want to modify the frame;

Looks like that may be tough to get the plastic back on?

Fits under the fairing fine - I do have to remove the lower fairing cover on the RH side if I want to change the adjustment on the damper. This isn't a problem though as I pretty much leave it on the same setting anyway.

Nice job...

I looked through your pics but couldn't find one with the damper installed. Also, you are using standard forks yes? much narrower than the gsxr forks. I don't think that setup will work with the USD forks but I am going to check it out.

I don't think I have a photo of it installed. It's definitely mounted to stock forks - not sure how it would work on anything else. And I can't take credit for the idea - that's the mount that comes with the RC Engineering damper kit for the Katanas.

Just as a follow up - I had the tank and side panels off today to fit an oil cooler so I thought I'd take some pictures of the damper;

the mounting bracket is made from a piece of dom tubing and a 3/8 socket head cap screw that is welded. it is held on by 6 stainless 1/4-28 socket head cap screws. the fork mount is oem . i can make you one of these brackets if you need for the cost of materials and shipping.

That would be great. I will e.mail you.

Would a fork mounted headlight work with this?

Hi there love the pics,my bike is going to a Friend that welds this week for the same mod,nothing like riding with the new sport bikes and having to let off at 140 due to head shakes here and there.Has anyone used this set up on an 1983 E model Gs1100 with large headlight and gsxr 55mm forks.I'm mounting my bracket low for the stabilizer so i can fit the head light pics coming soon.
