    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Kickstand caused collar bone injury, and my recovery

. . . ...........how did the arm/shoulder feel?
was no problem.
Was not any stress-strain that exceeded what exercises I have been doing. Just normal riding was no problem, for the time I was out. Concern would be any unusual that, say, would have me having to hold up the bike, but even that would not be too much of a problem since I took the small bike. Other concern would be repeat injury.
.

oh, fooiey, just remembered a commitment for Friday.
and have other stuff going on Saturday, and Sunday, and Monday. So, maybe Tuesday, can get out for a 4 hour ride .... after last PT appointment.

LOL...Retirement....The busiest time of your life. :D

Glad you're doing well, Dave.

I am very glad to see you healed up well, Dave! Best wishes for the final rehabilitation steps to "back to normal".

All those Saturdays you retired guys have to deal with... must be hard :D

Sorry to hear you crashed. I've driven off with the stand down but it's not thrown me. I've had a few close calls so I fanatically look down before taking off.

Hope you recover fully
The sidestand ignition lock out is one of the best additions to modern day motorcycles, when it?s working correctly.

Today marks the completion of the 12 weeks.
Had last PT the other day, and last Orthpedic appointment (including xray) this comming Monday.

So . . . . .

(more in "Who Went For Ride")

Have lifted restrictions, but need to be aware that is not fully new bone mended, is still soft, will become more bone in next few months.

Stil need to work on the strength exercizes for shoulder . . . . and for everything, man, I was quite inactive for a few weeks, then limited activity for a few more weeks. Has only been last couple weeks that have been back to most activitys, but just not much in one day.

Take it easy Redman/Dave. It's challenging to restrict the thing you love doing...

Weeks/months of bone mending!!! Definitely...do not take this lightly!!!

I'm happy for you, even though I feel like I'm ruining your good intentions. But you know I'm only showing concern.

Thanks for the update and keep us informed with your gran-kids thread.

Ed
