A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Kudos once again for Z1 Enterprises

Last week I bought a choke cable, clutch gasket and other things for the restoration of my 1979 GS1000S. When the parts arrived, the clutch gasket and choke cable did not match what was installed. I talked to Rob @ Z1 about what happened and, after he did some research, it turns out that what they list for those two parts is indeed wrong. Rob talked to MotionPro directly and they are making a choke cable and sending it directly to me and he found the correct gasket for the clutch.

Quick shipping (3 days coast to coast), friendly service and a willingness to fix what's wrong. I have nothing but good things to say about Z1.

Thanks again Rob!

I wasnt gonna say anything but they goofed your order and you're happy about it?

Service

I too have recieved great Z1 service, from Jeff.

Guess I'll have to check my recent Motion Pro cable purchase though.. ;)

They could have just said 'too bad' and done nothing like a lot of companies out there. Instead Rob talked to Motion Pro and they are custom making the cable and eating the cost of shipping. Plus he was going to ship me the correct gasket. Tell me the last time you had a company step up and go the extra mile and try to fix an error on their part, including contacting a manufacturer and getting them to help fix the problem and didn't try to pass it on to you.

It's simple; they showed that they cared about a customer, so I threw them some props. A lot of people only complain about a company doing wrong; I like to give props for one that does something right.

I wasnt gonna say anything but they goofed your order and you're happy about it?

Cool, you showed props. Kudos! You're right, most only complain.

I was happy with the ordrer I placed with them but I got the correct parts.
