A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I am looking for a GS with a seat height adjustable to or set at 29in or below... Anyone have anyideas? I lokoed at several sites but most heights arent listed..The bike will be for someone 4'-11" Thanks y'all

I think my KAWA 600 eliminator had a 29 inch seat hieght. The bike came out in the 80s and then again in the 90s. they are easy to ride even for a learner and fast as can be in the 1/4 mile.
They are puseycats with a nice easy throttle and plenty of low end torque just for blooping around town.

HMM I know we had lookedat one some time ago.. I had her on a 600r(lowered) but she didnt fel comfortable.. She rode a 250r Ninja felt the best on it but felt that if she were to unba, ance at some point(i.e. backing) shed go over. She really likes the MEANSTREAK but wants a sport bike soooooo.. Ill just have to keep my eyes and ears open. Have anyothers?

A Honda 250 Rebel and a Suzuki 750 Intruder have short seat heights. My ex is 5'2" and rode both of these bikes with no problems. 8)

Re: Looking for a bike with less than 29 in seat height

I took the seatcover off the front section of the seat on my 85 1150E and after making a height guide to run/slide my hot wire cutter along, I cut 2 1/2 inches off the foam surface of the seat. Then, with an air stapler, I reattached the seatcover. The seat height of my 1150 is 28" now. :-)

But Keith, an 1150 is the perfect girlie bike. Small, quiet, light and easy to ride. Just a nice little scooter for the missus. :-)

wanna sell yours? Ill be down in october to get it

What I would do to be able to be flat footed while on my bike. Well.... I will be trimming seat foam. The bike needs a more sport oriented seat.

Though back to the original question. If you find a bike that's relitively close, you can give corbin, or any of many other seat mfg/custiomizers and they will knock an inch or two off the foam, and cut angles in the foam o make leg clearance better.

Earlfor, do you have pictures of your resculpted seat? That sounds like something that would be right up my alley. (I'm a grand total of 5'5" tall)
