A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Does anyone know where I can source a Stanley 12V 3.4W A72A bulb? I have tried gssuzuki.com and ordered the bulb. It was the wrong bulb but had the right part number. The only thing I can find is a German web-site.

OEM PARTS, STANLEY, JAPAN

BULB, NEUTRAL (SINGLE)

(GLUEHBIRNE, NEUTRALLAMPE - EINZEL)

#: A62B, 6V 3W, 1,40 EURO PCS.
#: A72A, 12V 3.4W, 1.40 EURO PCS.

I've found 1.9W bulbs all over the place but the 3.4 are not showing up. I have tried auto parts, electrical contractor suppliers. I don't know where else to look

Have you tried calling/visiting a dealer? I looked a few years ago and never found one, but I did not try a dealer.

Hi,

Do you need #15?

The online Suzuki dealer www.partshark.com has them for a dollar. I'm sure they can be found at many other online dealers. See your "mega-welcome" for "the list". :)

Thank you for your indulgence,

He has an "L" (in his sig) so the fiche is different, most likely the nacelle and possibly the part number. But I do see it there as part #09471-12028 for 99 cents each. Hmmm, wonder why I couldn't find it on BikeBandit? Self-answered - BB does not list the tach or speedo. Jerks.
Thanks, BassCliff, another online parts source I can query.

Sylvania 3893

Sylvania 3893

You can get a bulb that will work great at any auto parts store. A good example is Sylvania 3893. They come 2 to a pack and cost about a buck (for both). There are others that will work just fine, as well.;)

Some of the bulbs stand a little taller but clearance isn't an issue.

See? There I go again with another senior moment. Here's the explodo-view of the 650L Tach/Speedo:

So I guess Mr. gpd211 needs #22? They are still a buck if you buy OEM. Looks like they're cheaper if you buy aftermarket generics.

Please forgive my mis-firing synapses.

It's the wattage that is important, along with the diameter of the glass and the fitting of the prongs. That one looks close, 4w vs. 3.4w. Good catch, cc.
The problem I have with buying a 99 cent part online is they want to charge you $10 shipping. :(

I hear you. That's why I keep a list and bundle things like this with other parts. I like to buy my oil filters at least 10 at a time, toss in a few extra spare gaskets and shims, and you have a decent order. But finding what you need onesy-twosy at the local auto store for less money is even better.

E-bay, You can get the LED type :)

Or use your bulb, Gut the middle of it and add an LED with a resistor.

Yeah, it's a little taller but considering all the space in there, it makes no difference. I was pleased that the wattage is slightly higher....it's nice and bright!:)
