DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

My 89 GS500 has a front end off of a 95 GSX750F Katana.I ordered a master cylinder rebuild kit and it's the right kit for the original Nissin 14mm master cylinder. All the Katana 750's I have robbed parts of of have 5/8 inch Nissin master cylinders.Anyone know what Suzuki models came with Nissin 5/8 master cylinders?

Here's a pic of the 5/8 master cylinder that I have.

GS's with dual disc front brakes have 5/8" master cylinders. I'm not sure about other bikes but there are a number of threads on this topic in the archives.

Please keep in mind that just because it's a 5/8" diameter master cylinder does not mean that just any kit will work in it. :o

This I know and I went shopping today. The closes kit I could find was a 81-83 GS850L.It was a K&L kit.So still no working master cylinder.

Yup, K&L brake parts suck. Been stated again and again in past threads on the topic. Best to use original Suzuki brake system internal parts from your preferred dealership source.

They couldn't match anything to Suzuki P/Ns either. We were hoping that we could find something in the K&L rebuild kits. Then use that to match it to a Suzuki motorcycle and order the OE parts. No dice.

The master cylinder came from a 1995 GSX750F Katana. After doing some research, the 89-97 GSX600/750F Katana use a 14mm master cylinder. My master cylinder is a 5/8 which, from my under standing,is pre 90's Suzuki motorcycles with twin disc brakes.Maybe Suzuki carried this over into the 90's to reduce inventory or use them when supply was out on the 14mm units. It's all I can come up with and it's a wild best guess at that. :(
