A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Mecum Motorcycles Las Vegas

What a difference a year makes! The Cooley just sold for 12k at auction. Do you remember last year the Cooley at the same auction sold for 5k and then the buyer went on to eBay and sold it for 15k. I was wondering if the Cooley could be stolen this year, like it was last year....nope!

Believe me I tried to buy another Cooley at 5K but I believe the gig is up and buyers are aware of their value now.

Wednesday prices were reasonable but Thursday and Friday brought out the big buyers and I believe prices were up 30% from last year. Freakin Trump he?s ruined the vintage market with the good economy😆

You just caught us sleeping. Cooleys have been bringing twice what you paid last year, for a long time.

It's about time the S models brought in what many of us have always hoped they'd bring. That one that sold for 12G's was in unbelievable condition. So few left in that kind of shape and originality. The dash area alone was stunning. The case savers were the only part of it I would have removed before the sale. As practical as they are..they look kinda wimpy on what's supposed to be a racer replica super bike..haha..

Yes I did and was really surprised that no one out bid me at 5K. I knew the bike was worth much more than that.
BTW, the guy I sold it to on eBay resold it for $16,500 with Wes Cooley?s signature on it.

Didn't you sell it to that guy for $16,000?

Good to see these prices on all old stuff. If people keep hacking them up it will make them worth more! Kinda like a 401k in the garage...lol
