DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Greetings from North East Ohio, hope all is well. So I'm coming into spring time and getting the 1100E ready for the road. If any of you remember me, I've been having trouble with the tuning on my VM33 smoothies. They've been cleaned thoroughly, synced, rebuilt over and over, jetting changed, re-synced, etc.. (not necessarily in that order). I've had the valves adjusted professionally by a local bike shop. The thing just has the absolute hardest time keeping a consistent idle. SOooo, here I am today with an opportunity to purchase a set of carbs off of a 1993 GSXR1100, which I believe to be mikuni BST40 carbs. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm no expert. My question is, will these mount to the GS and will they give me any improvement on performance/ reliability over the smoothies? My original thought is that they'll be too much. By the way, my bike has pods on it. The original air box was long gone before I got it. Thanks for any info and/or suggestions.

The experts will chime in shortly, but as long as you're talking about carbs and pods, I'm sure they'll want to know about the exhaust.

At the moment it's running an old kerker 4-1. Before summer sets in and after I figure out the carb situation, I would like to replace it with a Vance sidewinder/pro pipe
